This is one of my favorites of all of Kaffe Fassett’s quilting books. These beautiful antique quilts have been reproduced in colorful Kaffe Fassett fabrics. And the results are beautiful.I have sewn several quilts from his other books, using his fabrics. These same quilts were soaked in the “Harvey†floodwaters. After washing several times to sanitize them, the quilts still look great. The colors did not fade at all.I have rarely found a quilting book that contains more that one or two quilts that i want to reproduce, but this book is the exception.
This probably the best book for Kaffe Fassett I own, and I own several. It has just gorgeous pictures and I love the choices in this book. Plenty of quilts to make from easy to more complicated. But the photos are to die for! Can't say enough good things about this book.
I really wanted to like this book as I like Kaffe Fassett’s fabrics. There was really nothing new in this book. A series of old established quilt patterns were made over with his fabric. That was it. There really were t any unique or new designs - just different fabrics used. I didn’t need a new book for another nine patch, tumbling block or square in a square quilt. Sorry.
